Stanford University’s William Damon in The Path to Purpose said, “Purpose endows a person with joy in good times and resilience in hard times, and this holds true all throughout life.”
At THIS! Is What We Did we do not need to search for a purpose with the planet and everything we care about at risk. We will organize and fight and never give up to rescue as much of the future as possible, extracting as much joy and showing as much resilience as we can.
We are not extraordinary people. We are everyday people who are simply doing what has been given to us to do. And we know the truth of William Damon’s words, “A purpose can be noble without being ‘heroic’ or requiring daring, life-endangering adventures…noble purposes may also be found in the day-to-day fabric of ordinary existence.”
As the world becomes an ever harsher place, we intend to put ourselves in a position to be able to answer the Ultimate Question: “What did you do to fight the climate crisis?” with
THIS! is what we did!
